Think Outside The Box

I spent some time yesterday organizing our school shelves and I re-organized our game closet today. We had some duplicate games so I’m giving those to Grandma and I threw out some old cards that the kids weren’t using anymore. I was still using some old Organizing Bags that I made several years ago. They were my first attempt before I came up with the design I use now that I really like. I switched out all the old bags for the new bags. Here’s a photo of our game closet where I have stored 29 different games and 15 different puzzles. Look at the top left. Those are the board games standing on end. Can you imagine how much room all of this would all take if they were still in their boxes? I love these bags!

I also transferred art supplies from four different art boxes that were taking up too much space. Look at this big box. All of the supplies in it fit in a small Organizing Bag! Which would you rather take to Church or have sitting on a shelf?

BTW, I throw out every box I can, not just toy and game boxes. I throw away cereal boxes and clamp the tops with a clothes pin. They all get tossed in a drawer. When the bags are half empty there is room for more bags. That isn't the case when they're still in their boxes.

What kind of boxes are taking up space on your shelves and drawers that you could get rid of?
