Organize Your Heavy Drinkers

Whenever I have company I get out the plastic cup. Everyone writes their name on one with a permanent marker and that's their water cup for the rest of the visit. I corral them in a wash tub so they're not all over the kitchen getting knocked over.

When it’s time to wash dishes there is only one cup per person instead of washing every single glass in the house or wasting a lot of disposable cups. Halleluiah!

Yes I have a problem. I can’t make myself throw away plastic cups. I keep washing them till they crack. In fact when my sister comes with her five kids we just find the same cups they used last time and their names are still on them! Posted by Picasa

Kudos to you for not falling in line with the disposable-ness of our culture! Yeah!

Good idea too, by the way. I've actually tried it, but with the wrong kind of glasses. The marker came off onto everyone's fingers. It was funny but not, you know?

OK, I always wash mine out too. :) Then I put them away for next time. And when they finally crack, they go in the garbage.

Sigh... so glad I'm not the only one.

Buying paper cups is the only way to force myself not to wash them. Even then I feel bad about throwing them away!

I wish there was an easy, non smudgeable, washable way to mark normal glass drinking glasses.

what about adding coloured electrical tape - you can get them in the dollar store. Red, blue, green and yellow. Cut small rectangles so the first four get one colour. Then the rest of the gang gets combinations of the colours overlapped or even making a letter. They might eventually wash off but you could reuse them on regular drinking glasses for returning extended fam members
