This is why my studio doesn't have a craft table in it.

Do you think this table would have been cleaned off any time in the next millennium if we hadn't had to eat dinner on it that night?

It's a nicely contained mess just waiting to get worked on again. Now that wasn't so hard was it?

That is why I invite people over to my house. It forces me to clean. Whatever works.

Horizontal surfaces are clutter magnets in my house! The kitchen table is safe, like you said because we need to eat at it and my toddler "needs" to smear food all over it!

I try to do the invite people over thing too- that way I know the house gets a deeper clean once or twice a month.
