Smart Habit Saturday

Happy Smart Habit Saturday! I want to do something special this week so tell me if you want to play along. Since we have been working so hard I thought it would be fun to treat ourselves and pick a habit that is all about us; something easy and fun. It could be rubbing foot cream on your feet every night before you go to bed. It could be putting on a pretty necklace every day even if you are just going to stay home and clean house in your pajamas! What do you think? Can you add something fun this week to your habits? If you already have your post up you can edit it our tell me in my comments what you are going to do for yourself this week. I can't wait to hear your great ideas!

I have good news this week. I'm taking three things of my list this week because they have all become habits! Cleaning my toilet, reviewing my planner and having three daily prayers are all things I couldn't live without now. I would have to work really hard to STOP doing them. Yay!!!

New Habit - This goes along with my habits from the last two weeks. I'm going to do a better job of keeping my kitchen and my office clean all the time instead of letting the mess build up before I deal with it. To do this I need to re-organize my office a bit. I've already started on this so I will tell you about it and post pictures later.

Week #5 Clear Counters - It took me a couple days to get this done but then I did better the rest of the week. I had a project I was working on yesterday and I left on the kitchen counter. I should have put it away but you know how it goes? "I'm going to get right back to this so I'll just leave it out," and then you don't touch it again for days! That's why we need to put things away, even if we are in the middle of it. I learned my lesson last week so I won't do it again.

My habit of going to bed without snacking was a miserable failure this week! It was my birthday on Sunday and my MIL gave me two bags of black licorice candy that I promptly ate AND she gave us a cheesecake that I finished off last night and then my son made a cake for the scout Blue and Gold banquet so I have been on a sugar high all week! When I eat sugar I overeat everything else as well. I'm going to keep sugar out of the house this week!

Week #4 Clear Desk Off - This is fast becoming a new habit.
Week #3 Planner review - Habit!
Week #2 Two personal prayers and one family prayer every day - Habit!
Week #1 Clean the toilet once a day – Habit!

*Important - Please link to your individual SMART Habit post instead of your home page or else my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder will have to spend time fixing the links. Here is how you link to an individual post if you’ve never done it before: Right click on the date at the bottom of the post you want to link to (or the post title depending on where you blog) click “Copy Shortcut” and then paste it into Mr. Linky.

My house has gotten so deep down dirty. I have to get all things dirty taken care of! So, start at the most fundamental of all---the toilet!

I'm not late this week. I seem to be in a pattern where I am on time every other week. I will work on that.

Happy Late Birthday, Lara!

Way to go on creating such solid habits that you can officially take them off the list. I am getting there.

I like the idea of a pampering myself habit. I will have to give this one some thought.

I am so glad your site is working today ... knock on wood :) !!

Happy Belated! And I'm putting that on my calendar so I don't miss it next year. =P

Mmm...pampering myself sounds lovely. I'm going to go with the foot cream every night idea - I love the feeling of soft feet! And I rarely take the time to do that. Thanks for the idea!

Something for me...hummmm....
Wash my face with my new face soap before I go to bed. Now that will be nice. Thanks for the idea.

Lara,

Happiest of Belated Birthday wishes coming your way!! Did you guys doing anything fun to celebrate??

I like the pampering idea! I think mine will be to use lotion after my shower this week. I shaved and used lotion for my "date" on Friday night and I was impressed with how just one time helped get rid of the dry wintery scales that have emerged.

Way to go on making your first 3 goals a habit and being able to take them off your list! I can't wait to be able to do that.
