Smart Habit Saturday
I'm posting this early this weekend because I'm going to be in a Thomas Jefferson Education seminar for two days. It is an amazing style of education that can be used in homeschooling or in any classroom.Don't forget that anyone who participates in SHS for two weeks in a row by the end of March will be entered into a drawing to win free Organizing Bags! After you have completed your two weeks, e-mail me the links and I will enter you in the drawing.
If you are new to SHS find out all about it here: Getting Started with SHS. Click here to read more SHS posts. Please don't forget to link back to this post so your readers can find out more about SHS.
Here are the habits I have been working on this year. Some of them are habits and some of them still need a lot of work but all of them have improved my life!
Become a Dresser
Playing games with my kids and reading my Church Magazine
Kitchen and studio clutter free
Clear Counters
Clear Desk
Review Planner
Daily Prayer
Clean Toilet
I did really well getting up and getting dressed last week. This week I am going to work on checking in with Joe's Goals every single day. I was doing much better with my habits when I did!
*Important - Please link to your individual SMART Habit post instead of your home page or else my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder will have to spend time fixing the links. Here is how you link to an individual post if you’ve never done it before: Right click on the date at the bottom of the post you want to link to (or the post title depending on where you blog) click “Copy Shortcut” and then paste it into Mr. Linky.

Lara, where is this seminar that you are going to? I have heard of this education. My husband has wanted to attend George Wythe College for a couple of years now. And recently, the college decided to relocate to my hometown and onto some land that was owned by my parents, so they have had dealings with Dr. Brooks and the DeMilles. I would SO love to have my kids attend that college. My parents got some of the literature on the Thomas Jefferson Education and some lectures on CD from Dr. Brooks and I haven't read the book, but have listened to two CD's and it totally resonates with me. So I'd be curious to know what you think after you get back from your seminar.
That sounds like an awesome opportunity - will miss you this weekend though. Have fun!
I just found your site and am looking forward to keeping up with it(and the SMART Habit Saturdays feature).
Dont' get too smart on me now. I still need you to teach me how to cook! Speaking of cooking, what happened to your meatball recipe? I need new recipes!
You should come over and visit now, my house isn't a total wreck like the other night!
Hope you have a great conference.
Will you be at church Sunday? I will peak in at you through the window!
I hope you gain a lot of great new stuff to share with us at your conference this weekend!
I found 2 ziploc bags in my diaper bag and I immediately thought of you! Weird but, true :)
Hi Lara! I'm participating for the first time! =) Thanks for the motivation!

Let's try again this week...
I'm still going! :D
I think I am back on track, again!! I had a few weeks there, when I just really didn't do so well, but I think I have my motivation back!! Thanks!!!
Thanks for hosting this for us Lara! Hope the TJEd seminar was a great one. A lot of my dear friends use that program in their homeschooling. It's great! :)
I hope you have a good weekend.

Please consider submitting a blog entry to the Thomas Jefferson Education Blog Carnival .
Thanks,
Maureen
We're trying to get our house ready to sell and a lot of your organization tips are great since we'll have to live here while we try to sell it. With kids in the house keeping our house show-ready is going to be a challenge.
Your bathroom org tip from your article is great, I'm going in search of Wal-Mart office organizers tomorrow.
Thanks!!
Okay, how was the conference? Did you learn enough to teach all of us?
Okay, I need you to come and help me, or at least tell me to get busy! I have so many projects that are screaming---so you need to keep giving us ideas to use! Also, when is the Organizing Club going to meet again? I think that it has been long enough that we are all totally feeling overwhelmed and behind. We need motivation, inspirtation and a lot of help!
Thanks for doing SHS! I'm so glad I found your blog! It's a great concept that I tell everyone about!
