Please don't forget to link back to this post so your readers can find out more about SHS.Anyone who has participated in SHS for two weeks in a row by the end of March will be entered into a drawing to win free Organizing Bags! E-mail me the links to your posts and I will enter you in the drawing. You have until Sunday, April 1st to get your entry in. Monday April 2nd I will choose a random winner. I will even video record the drawing so you can experience the thrill with us! I can’t wait! These are the people that have entered so far. Tammy, Kassie, Dana, Michelle, Tirzah, Kara, Lucy, Lorie, Cheri, and Betty. If you e-mailed me and you don’t see your name, please try again.
March isn't ever over yet and I am already excited about having another drawing next month. I'm going to be giving away a copy of The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me, signed just for you, you Lazy Organizer! We're getting more organized so we might as well put "become a millionaire" on our to-do lists right? Look for some or all of my April habits to come from this book. If you want to do them with me then go ahead and buy the book on Amazon for $5 and you can give it to a friend after you win your free signed copy from me! The requirement for the drawing will be to participate in SHS for any three weeks in April. I hope it's not too much to ask you to mention the drawing in your posts. You don't have to of course but we want to get the word out about SHS don't we? I might even throw in some fun ways for all my blog readers to get entries in the drawing so stay tuned!
I had another great week! My habit of staying off the computer after breakfast is still going strong and I did a good job of serving lunch by noon. Some days I prepared it and some days the kids prepared it but as long as we started by 11:00 we were ready to eat by 12:00. Normally we wait until we're all starving and grumpy!
My studio is looking so much better with all my new Smart Habits that I think I am ready to start tackling my paperwork on a daily basis. I said I THINK!!! For my new habit I'm going to spend 15 minutes every day opening mail and filing papers.
Here are the habits I have been working on this year. Some of them are habits and some of them still need a lot of work but all of them have improved my life! Notice I ditched Joe's Goals? It was so fun to use but I just couldn't keep up with it!
Have lunch ready by Noon
Turn Off Computer during chores
Become a Dresser, Playing games with my kids and reading my Church Magazine
Kitchen and studio clutter free
Clear Counters
Clear Desk
Review Planner
Daily Prayer
Clean Toilet

I just idolize you, your organizing bags and your new book give away that I always have to be first ... unless someone shoves me out of the way :)!!
You must have a lot of mail to open if it takes you at least 15 minutes ... you are so popular :)!!
By the time I come see you in July, you will have your lunch habit set in stone.
Well Lucy, I couldn't go to bed until you posted so thanks and good night! And you don't have to worry about the drawing because of course anyone who comes all the way from Canada JUST to see me will be going home with an organizing bag!
I haven't emailed you to be entered in the drawing because I still have organizing bags that are--empty! I have a million things to do and am feeling like I am swimming backwards. I am just going to start making lots of lists! I am using the strike through like crazy!
Mine's up!
The housework has been overwhelming me of late, so I have found a way to resolve the problem. I'm on top of it now with the help of Ava, twice a month!
Lara, this is an excerpt from my blog today: I want to take a moment to say that this SMART Habit Saturday thing has REALLY been a blessing in my life. I want to thank Lara for her wonderful idea. It has not seemed like too much at all to add one habit a week. Things are REALLY starting to become habits, I don't have to think about everything anymore. The rewards have been many! Things are starting to calm down around here and I feel like I am in control of my life. I have always been a person who evaluates my life quite frequently, but I wasn't always able to make the changes I wanted. Now the changes are coming easier, especially the eating habits. Even my hubby has noticed. Thank you Lara!
Good luck in getting the paperwork done. I still stand by my theory that paper is related to rabbits. Leave it alone and it will MULTIPLY. Have a great one, Lara.
Oh, yeah, I hear you on Joe's goals. It reminded me of counting points, blech.
Hi Lara!
I've tried to e-mail you a couple of times to enter into the contest, but the messages keep bouncing back to me! What now??
Thanks again for starting SHS :) It really has helped me. It's so nice to have some kind of routine and organization, as well as made me feel better about getting things done. :) I'm excited to see who wins the organizing bags! Of course I want to win, but I'll be happy with whoever does lol.
I just found you today. This is a great idea. I will be posting my first SHS this coming Saturday.
