Thea tagged me for a meme so I will not procrastinate. I will get memming! Is it possible that there are seven things you don't know about me?
- I love to listen to opera but I hate watching it. Singing is not acting people! No, I don't watch musicals either. Well maybe a few good ones like My Fair Lady and Fiddler on the Roof but I definitely don't memorize the songs. Ok, maybe some of the songs but I don't know any of the dances and that's the truth.
- I broke one of my fingers off in a sewing machine accident when I was 24. I had just started dating Stranger and he held my hair while I threw up for two hours after my surgery to reattach my finger. I knew he had seen too much and I would have to marry him after that.
- I have deformed toenails on my little toes. It's all my Grandpa's fault.
- I used to love animals when I was growing up. Now, not so much. Anything that makes more work for me is not my friend. That's why I thought buying a farm would definitely be the way to go.
- I fell out of a car on the freeway when I was 7. I get to blame everything on brain damage.
- I'm a gum smiler who doesn't chew gum.
- I only wear fish hook earrings. I won't buy the kind with a separate back because I'm too lazy to put them on. I know some of you still think I'm joking about being lazy. I'm not joking.

Wow, ouch on the finger and falling out of the car!
Yikes Lara! That finger incident makes me want to hurl, too. And I also fell out of a car at about that same age. However, I was in town and Mom was going around a corner, so the speed was pretty slow. The Barbie stuff scattered all over the road wasn't pretty!
I like listening to opera too! But my kids don't, which is why I listen to it when we're all in the car and they can't run away. :D
I'm the opposite of you on the opera...love to listen to it while I watch, but can't stand it independent of the spectacle. I think it's from watching too much tv as a kid. =P
I wear fish hook earrings for the same reason! Too weird.

I've never really gotten into opera, I love musicals, I wonder if I'd like opera, too!
Having been involved in several musicals myself, I'm more partial to show music than opera. I can appreciate their talent, I just don't care for their music.
I don't wear earrings with backs either, but that's because the girl who pierced them didn't make them level so...well, anyway it annoys me.

I am not much into opera, but I love good musicals.
My pinky toes have deformed toe nails too. I don't know if they are actually deformed, but most people think they are weird. I think it's because there is barely a nail there. Sometimes I don't even paint it because no one would really notice the difference and I can hardly get to it.
Falling out of a car on a freeway sounds really scary! And the finger story, that's one I'd like to hear. You're funny, maybe because your life has been threated so often, you have to just laugh!

So kidding. I'd be lost without one. But I'm needing a new one since I use a school planner and it's almost done. Love the tip about cutting the corners.
Bummer about the finger, but you had to know it was true love when he held your hair for you.
Wow! I mean WOW! Those are some terrible accidents. At least you know you were meant to stick around a while longer, right? What are the odds of surviving a sewing machine accident and dropping on the highway?
YOu don't like musicals? I'm always amazed that there are people in this world who don't like musicals. Not even West Side Story? Not even wicked?

Okay, #2 just vindicated me. I refuse to go near a sewing machine. Clearly, they are dangerous.
And you should marry anyone who would hold your hair back while you yak. That's a no brainer!
