About Hair

I have been working on re-organizing my sidebar again and have been running across some old posts. If you see them show up in your feed reader it's because I did a little editing. Just check the date to see if it's current. Of course I still love comments on old posts but the content is outdated. Like I have not started my garden this year. I don't even had a driveway or a yard, let alone a garden!

I want to add a post to my sidebar with links to people who have been so kind to link to me. Again, I have to make this easy on myself so if you have linked to me and you want to be included (and why wouldn't you!) then please e-mail me your blog address so I can add it.

Long Curly HairI thought I would do another poll since it's been so long. I have long hair right now and it is a huge pain to take care of. (This photo was taken six months ago so it's even longer now.) The good part about it is I can wear it in a ponytail every single day of my life. (Very organized don't you think?) I know some day I will get sick of it, chop it off with a pocket knife, and donate it to Locks of Love but I'm enjoying it while I can. Love you Kimberly! I really like my hair short or long. I don't like it in between. It's sad because short and long are both hard to take care of. In between is the easiest.

I just talked persistence into cutting her hair even shorter than we did In December. I'm sure I'll post a photo soon. It's so cute! She has thin hair so keeping it short makes it much easier. Mine is too thick so short=more work.

What is your hair story?

Updated to say, I thought the bald thing was funny until I added Locks of Love and now it is not so funny. Sorry about my rudeness! Can you just ignore me please? Unless you shave your head on purpose. Then we can laugh at your organized head right?

How long is your hair?
I have short hair and love it.
I have short hair and hate it.
I have medium length hair and love it.
I have medium length hair and hate it.
I have long hair and love it.
I have long hair and hate it.
I have a very organized head. I'm bald.

My hair is medium-longish and it's ok. I don't hate it but I'd like it either a few inches shorter or a few inches longer lol, it's kind of in between where I'd prefer it.

I was wondering about those old posts popping up in my feed reader lol.

It took me lots of years to realize that I am not meant to have long hair. I'm with Persistance in the thin, fine hair dept and when it's long it just looks stringy. So short it is and I've finally learned to love it that way! When it gets too long it drives me nuts and I have to get it chopped off. I think your hair is lovely. Happy pony-tailing!~

I don't know if it's my time of month, the fact that I'm watching Extreme Makeover, or that I'm just plain nuts, but your sweetness has me on the verge of tears. I love you too Lara!

I've got the long thick hair thing going on too and am caught up in the exact same conundrum. I love it short-ish, but it's sooo much work, and I'm not ready to give up my pony tail since I just finally got it back!

Summer is going to be quite a challenge. Will my lovely locks survive the bitter heat? Or will I turn to the knife in the glove box again?

Here I go with my first actual comment to join in on the fun! I had short hair most of my life and finally grew it long while my husband was on his mission. I had to look my best when he returned and I knew he loved long hair. It's amazing he dated me the 2 years he did in high school since the day after our first date I chopped my hair up to my ears and it was officially the worst haircut any person in the world ever donned. I enjoy having long hair and it has gone shorter since the 5 years we have been married, i.e. the birth of our child lead to me chopping a lot of it off. He's always scared though when I say I'm cutting it shorter. Anyways, the only thing I hate about long hair is how hard it is to keep it healthy. So, that was a little long for a comment it turned into a blog itself. I'll work on not being so long winded next time! Enjoy your long hair, mine makes me feel young and womanly!

I was wondering why your gardening post showed up in my feeds - thanks for the clarification :)!!

I go for haircuts that are easy to maintain (still don't know how to round brush and blow dry at the same time, but I know how to spike a volleyball and I can tell you all about mitosis), can be pulled back when I exercise and look cute on me.

My hair is fine and super straight. In college/early marriage I kept it long. I used hot rollers to give it body, which of course was ruined with the slightest heat/humidity/wind. With children came shorter hair. I keep trying to grow it longer but get frustrated at some point and cut it. Then I get lots of compliments, which makes me wonder why I ever tried to grow it out. But I still wish it was long enough to put up in one of those clippy things. I don't know if I'll ever really like my hair.

Most of my hair is medium length, but I have this halo effect from little wispies that are growing back after baby fall-out.

I think the pony tail factor carries a lot of weight.

So far, I am the only long and hate it! I go through stages where I will cut it short (for me that is more like medium length) and then not cut it for a year or MORE! I am at that, I need to do something different stage.

I have long hair and LOVE it! And I'm not even sure why, except that it is layered so when it's curled it looks even longer. I get many compliments on my hair. In the heat of the summer I begin to wonder about my long dark hair because it can get hot, that's when I'm either in ponytails or french braids.

I have hair about the length of your picture and I HATE IT! I have never had a hair cut I like, let alone love. I have hair so think and coarse that it makes it hard to do much of anything to it at all.

My hair is medium length and I do like it. I just had it trimmed and layered and thinned and added bangs. I kind of did an overhaul. lol But I really like the results! I love being able to put my hair into a ponytail too. I think it's a must when you have children. lol

I've had major hair change thoughts the past few weeks. I want to cut it just below chin length, but just not sure. As long as it can still fit in the last minute pony.
As a hairdresser... if you always wear your hair in a pony tail, it means it's time for a change.

I have hair that hits just below the shoulders and I like it that way. When it gets longer than that it is too heavy and pulls down my features on my oblong shaped face. It is long enough for a pony tail, and to go up in an up do, so it suits me fine. I do not like short hair cuts so this works well for me. Hair cuts long to short can be confusing if you do not know what shape face you have and what type of hair cut is best for your shape of face. Once you find this information out, it suddenly becomes easier to come up with a hair cut that looks great on you.

I stopped cutting my hair seven years ago after visiting an "old time" pentecostal service. I didn't
t grow it because I think God requires me to, but because I was so inspired by the heavenly locks I saw draped down the backs of the women there. I was breathless when I saw girls half my daughters age with hair twice as long--seven year olds with gorgeous manes touching their long hemline. Needless to say, my daughters hair now touches the floor...Heavenly!
Beautiful!!
