I'm Famous!
Guess what happened this week? Michelle at Scribbit interviewed me for her blog! Can you believe it?? She is amazing and so sweet and we all know she is taking over the world one blog at a time! I am not kidding about that either. When she runs for president I am going to vote for her. Do you think she'll let me come and be the official White House Organizer?
Last month Michelle asked me to be the guest judge for her Write Away contest in June, which is the coolest name ever for a writing contest, don't you think? She is an amazing writer by the way. People are always asking me if I am a writer or if I want to be a writer which always makes me snort but if I could write like Scribbit then I would be starting my fifth book by now. Have you Michelle? Let us know where we can buy your next volume.
So go read how Michelle and I "met" and all about my craziest organizing philosophy. Can you tell from my photo what a goof I am? Probably not. See how I have you all fooled?
Thank you for the interview Michelle and thanks to all you kind commenters over at Scribbit.blogspot.com.
I also have an article up at GNMParents today. It's all about how people should stop moving so much, especially people I know because it is too much work! Let's all just stay put and be happy where we are. Deal? Let's say it together, "We are never moving again!" Deal.
In case you were wondering that was not a Couch Potato Pact we were just making. Be sure to leave me a comment and tell me how many times you have moved in your life. I was going to make a poll but I'm feeling too lazy tonight so now you have to do all the work.

Congrats! And thanks for the moving tips.
I've moved about 8 times in 16 years of marriage and about 14 times before I got married. Phew! That's a lot of moving. (I've been planning my next move for the last 7 years, no dice).
I remember telling my parents that it was time to move after we had been in the last house for a year. They still live there 22 years later. I kept hoping we'd move again, because I was so used to it.
My childhood:
from South Carolina
to Ohio
to two houses in Illinois
to Ohio
to two houses in California
Since I've been married (7 years), we moved four times in five years, including a move from California to Michigan. Moving is not fun. And now that we bought a house and have been here for two years, I hope we can stay in it for quite a while!
Oh dear, I'll have to read the article as we are getting ready to move again. I lived in one house from the time I came home from the hospital until I married at age 22 (I did go away to college for 2 years, but lived in dorms and came home during breaks). In the six years I've been married we have moved six times and are packing for our seventh move. Tough on a girl who isn't too keen on change!
I don't really like to move, but I have done so five times so far. I AM getting better at it! ;)
Well, she had only nice things to say about you. Isn't that nice? I have moved only four times in my married life, which isn't so bad. And hopefully we'll be staying in this house until we are old and grey.
14 times, only once for 6 monthes to another town (in my rebel years!) Otherwise, just here in my ol' home town. Sometimes I go crazy wondering if I'll ever leave...who knows.
And, yeah, we're getting ready to move once again, so it was a timely column.
Thanks,
Mercy
The first few years I was married we moved every few months it seemed but we've been in this house since 2001 and it feels like home. I say I'll never move again, just bury me in the back yard next to the strawberry patch.
I have moved only 4 times in my life, never living more than 18 miles from the house I grew up in.
And I was so psyched that Michelle interviewed you. It rocked, as do you and Michelle...
I've moved 12 times in 33 years (most of it before I was 20, though...) We are seriously contemplating another move in the next year or so, but we are such stick-in-the-muds that I don't know if it will ever happen ;P (that and we are compulsive hoarders, so the thought of packing is a nightmare)
I moved when I was 3 down the street. Then I went to college and moved a couple of times changing apartments. Then I got married and we've moved 4 times since which was almost 5 years ago. First we switched colleges. Then, we changed apartments within the complex due to too much smoke entering my newborns room. Then, my husband graduated and got a job! And now we just bought a house!!! Hopefully we won't be moving for at least 5 years. I HATE MOVING! (Unless someone pays to have us moved. Then it's not so bad.)
I've moved eight times in my 29 years of life. Some moves were better than others.
You and Michelle will both rule the world some day :) !!
