Smart Habit Saturday
If you are new to SHS find out all about it here: Getting Started with SHS. Click here to read more SHS posts. Please don't forget to link back to this post so your readers can find out more about SHS.We did much better playing games and reading scriptures this week. We only missed two days and I feel much better about that.
I am going to tell you about an annoying habit of mine that I need to break. I am always chewing on my lips because they're dry. Of course chewing on them makes them dry so I can't stop! My new habit is going to be pulling out my chapstick every time I start up again and using it! You know I always have my chapstick with me in my Sweet Tomato so it shouldn't be a problem. I hope to be able to replace my bad habit with a good habit!
We had another great drawing last month And we learned how to say our good friend Montserrat's name. Congratulations Montse! Thank you all for participating. I haven't mentioned a drawing for this month because I haven't thought of anything to give away! As soon as I do then we will have another drawing because I just love giving stuff away. Now I know why other people are always doing it on their blogs!
Here are the other habits I have been working on this year. Some of them are already habits and some of them still need a lot of work but all of them have improved my life!
Reading scriptures with kids - good
Getting to bed early, again - doing better
Crafts with kids - Working on it.
Using Crock Pot - Great and loving it!
Paperwork, again, and again - failing
Have lunch ready by Noon - Ok
Turn Off Computer during chores - Habit
Become a Dresser - Good
Playing games with my kids - Good
Reading my Church Magazine - Habit, I lost my new magazine this week so I had to go buy another one because I couldn't live without it!
Kitchen and studio clutter free - Good
Clear Counters - Great
Clear Desk - Good
Review Planner - Habit
Daily Prayer - Habit
Clean Toilet - Ok this week

I'm looking forward to this! as soon as I read about it, I wrote down three months worth of Saturday habits to work on in my calendar :)
I love doing this each week. It forces me to think about small changes that will mean a lot of good for my family (or me). The only problem is having so many ideas of things to improve on...lol. Good luck with yours this week!
Slava Bogu!
Keri used to chew on her lips all the time, too. However, we have finally helped her break the habit with chapstick :) !! Good luck!
So far so good.
Good job on the camera. I need to locate my manual, I have misplaced it. Inside night shots are the worst. I hope that this helps. Maybe I can figure it out as well!
I am so impressed by your game-ness.
Thanks for heading this up, it was just the kick in the pants that I needed.
I like this idea, and I am hoping to make those small changes that can make a big difference in my home.
If you're looking for ideas for give aways, don't doubt the excitement that an empty organizing bag can bring. Not that we need a prize, reaping the benefits of participating is a reward unto itself. Just sayin.
My mantra is SLOW and STEADY!
This has been such a motivating thing for me! Thanks!
Good luck with the lip chewing thing. Kaedra does that too! The more lip balm we put on, the less she does it!
Oh, and I am back! YEAH!! Missed ya'll for two weeks!!
Have a blessed week!
Chapstick works wonders as long as it doesn't take really good. If I like the taste I end up licking my lips and chewing on them even more!
Thanks for all your inspiration!
This is my first SMART Habits Saturday, and I am really excited. I need some accountability and look forward to more SMART Habits Saturdays.
Another week, another habit... at least I hope. Have a great week.
I can't have my chapstick too far from me at all times. I hope it helps you kick your *bad* habit. Good luck!
Thanks so much for SHS! I really enjoy participating. It gives me some much needed accountability.
A great friend of mine turned me on to your blog and I.am.LOVING.it! She has done so great with her SMARTs and your stories are a great inspiration to me, so I have now joined the group. I am looking forward to developing some great habits within myself and I thank you for the challenge and support! Wish me luck! :-D
Montse has been an inspiration to me so I'm joining in hopes that I can become more like her. :-) Sheesh, I have so few good habits. I do floss regularly and I never go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink. I think those are the only two good, solid habits I have.
