10 Weird Organized/Unorganized Things about Me

Target Shower Caddy
1. I sleep with my planner every night so I don't forget to look at it in the morning. I still forget to look at it in the morning.

2. I have the attention span of a very organized four year old. I can look at my planner and see that I have a dentist appointment that day and still forget to go to the appointment.

3. I got an organizational high from sewing loops on my towels so they would stop falling off their hooks.

4. When I sew with patterns I fold them back up on their original fold lines so they will fit exactly back into their envelopes. See Mom? I wasn’t doing it just to annoy you. I still do it!

5. I love my houseplants. Sometimes I love them so much that they start growing mushrooms. The rest of the time they don’t so much feel the love.

6. I set up my computer to remind me when my friend’s and family’s birthdays are coming up. Not because I’m organized enough to call them or send them a card or a gift but so that the next time I see them I can say, “Hey, I was thinking about you on your birthday!” I think that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside don’t you?

7. I get lightheaded and my heart races when I walk down the container isle in a shopping super store.

8. I wear my cell phone around my neck so I don’t leave it on the roof of my car for someone to steal. Is it technically called stealing if you put a note on something that says, “I was too dumb to take care of this so you are welcome to have it”?

9. I collect storage containers like some people collect spoons. They’re useful but also oh so pretty to look at.

10. I don’t see clutter, I see organizational possibilities!

Let me know if you want to post your own Weird Organizing list so I can come read it!

Is it weird that I keep scrolling to the top of the post to look at the containers? lol. Every time I go to a store alone I walk up and down the container isles imagining all the possibilities.

I got some new containers recently. And I thought of you.

Is that creepy or sweet?

I LOVE your site!!! I found it only yesterday, but it's already on my list of favourites so I can quickly zip over. I'm SO in need of organizational inspiration and you've got so many great ideas. I'll be here often.

Ha Ha! I look at my planner and look at it again and still forget appointments or errands or items on a grocery list!

I have a love affair with containers, too. I'm laughing, because I just bought about six containers that I love, but have no idea what I'm going to put in them yet. It's a sad, sad addiction for me! Thanks for sharing. It's nice to know I'm not the only one!

I just don't understand how people DON'T fold things along the original lines? That's what they are there for!

It drives me nuts when I open packages like curtains and then try to fold them back up to fit. It literally makes me want to cry!

I laughed outloud. I also can look at my calendar, see that I have an appoinment, and forget about it. I also fold my patterns right back on the original fold lines. Doesn't everyone? I kill houseplants, which is why there are currrently no living plants in my house. They all live outside where the sprinkler system does a better job of keeping them alive than I do!

I'll have to think of a list and if I do, I'll post it.

Okay, I played along.

I love the container aisle too. I just can't help myself.

Too funny. Have to do that birthday thing. Nothing says I love you more than a "was thinking of you but didn't get around to calling, or sending a card... or whatever."
Made me laugh.

I played along too.

I collect containers too! My husband tells people I love to plan to organize but then I get hung up trying to pick just the right container from my collection! lol!

My ponytail pictures are up now. I realized too late that a spray bottle is a must and that you shouldn't let them sleep in the elastics.

I'll try it again, it's bound to turn out better.
