Project Management
Thanks to Julia, I now have a new game plan for getting all our projects done around the house and Stranger has agreed not to divorce me for spending all our money on them. Until he changes his mind that is. Yes, I had to remind him of how much he loves me and wants to do this for me. Or I had to bribe him, whatever you want to call it.
Now how to fit it in to my daily or weekly schedule. Since most of these projects are time and labor intensive and very messy they don't suit the fifteen minute a day philosophy. So instead I am going to try setting aside one week a month for our monthly project. Of course I will have things come up during my project week but I'm going to keep my schedule as clear as I can and neglect my kids more than usual. If you were thinking of asking me to host a book club or teach an organizing seminar next week, don't. But if you were thinking of having my sweet little trouble makers fly out for a visit, do.
Of course you know what all this really means don't you? Great blogging photos! I bet you just can't wait to see what I come up with for my new kitchen island or my pantry shelves. You'll find out when I do! All I require of you for this fabulous blogging entertainment is that you send positive project finishing vibes my way. According to some people, your positive thinking molecules will bounce off the molecules next to them and ripple that positive-ness all the way to where I am. Or just say a prayer for me. Either way.

Go, Lara!! You can do it! You're inspiring me to get organized on my house projects! Thanks... I might need your bribery suggestions so my husband won't leave me when I spend all our money, though...
Rock on sistah-friend!

Great list of goals! It must be exciting for you to think that in just 15 months your house will be completely done - at least until another item makes it onto your to do list. Looking forward to seeing photos. Maybe some of your positive actions vibe will bounce their way over to some of us.
Your list looks really good! And you know we love the pictures so bring them on!
I'm dizzy after reading through your list. Actually, I didn't read them all - I was too dizzy after November 07 :) We NEED to do this too . . . perhaps I'm inspired. I'll let you know if I get off my lazy bum to make another list :)
There's nothing lazy about you! I"m tired just looking at your list!
Wow! Good luck to you. =)
Love the new SHS banner, by the way. Might even get me up off my lazy butt again!
I love your list! I am also into organization. My children would like me to go organize someone elses home. So they can have a little freedom from it. Yes I can be over the top. Your blog is awesome.
Wow! Now I feel the need to lie down and rest from the list...ha!!! Doesn't it just feel cleansing to make lists???
