What's the First Thing You Tackle When You Have a Long To-Do List?

Something that's not even on the list of course.

Towel Hooks
Always drill a pilot hole when you're installing your Lazy Organizing Hooks.

Drilling Pilot Hole

Hand Towel on HookWhat a lovely and organized place to hang your hand towels. And can you believe Stranger didn't have an aneurysm when he found out I drilled into this cabinet? Me neither.

Lavender Soap
I want to come clean about my addiction to lavender soap. I don't care if it is just for old ladies. I hide it in all my drawers and if I have a bar sitting on my dashboard so I can sniff it when I start to lose consciousness from listening to the kids argue over pocket lint in the back seat, so what? I tried to revive Stranger with the heavenly scent after he saw how much I spent on my latest soapy splurge but it didn't work.

Apparently it only has magical powers for the feminine species. They have a hard time keeping their little paws off it.

My method for the to-do list has always been, "tackle first what smells the worst." LOL!

Queenbusick,

I buy it at Tuesday Morning. It's supposed to be discounted but it's still expensive when you come home with four boxes of soap!

I've never gotten into scented soaps. Does it really make you feel better?

Cause I'm all about the calm. Or would like to be.

I love lavender - always have. I'm now using Mrs. Meyer's stuff in the lavender scent. How cool is it to scrub your sink and have aromatherapy at the same time?

And, normally, yes, I do the things that are not on my list before anything else. Then, I add them to my list, just so I can cross them off. Hah!

I use the lavender scented baby wash for my kids. It says it has calming affects and most days I'm willing to try anything!

Oh and I either tackle something that's not on my list at all or the smallest/simplest task. The thought is it will be motivating to complete one thing & I can move onto the next project. It doesn't usually work. :/

I love lavendar. In fact, I used to always have a bottle of lavendar essential oil kicking around in my bathroom because it is so awesome.

You can use it as an antiseptic and an analgesic on wounds

You can dab it on your temples when you have a headache, insomnia or ridiculous amounts of stress.

For a long while, I used it instead of polysporin on small cuts and skin tears. It's especially good for kids because it doesn't sting.

Good catch on the sale!

I bought lavender scented fabric softener for all the loads of laundry we do. It's pricey but I figured if I'm going to wash all that clothes I'm going to enjoy it! The upside I didn't foresee was all the girls enjoy helping. We all sit around folding laundry and sniffing it as we go. One load we don't put it in is hubby's work clothes. :D

I'm so good at getting distracted from what's important! Well, what might be considered important to other people.

I love the scent of lavender too. I've always been tempted to get the lavender linen spray for my sheets (you know how I'm crazy for the clean sheet smell! LOL) But I was afraid with my husband's allergies he'd be camping out on the couch for sure!
btw...have you taken photography classes or what? Your photos are amazing! Especially the soap ones in this post! They look like they could be from a magazine. What kind of camera do you have?

I need to buy some hooks from you. This third kid is coming and she doesn't have a place in the bathroom. Our ugly towel bar only holds two towels. I guess she could just be stinky for the rest of her life.

Lavendar...Mmmmmmmm. I LOVE Tides Vanilla and Lavendar laundry soap. I use lavendar body wash ALL THE TIME!!!

Oh Lara! We have too much in common. I make my list and then do something not even on it! I've also been known to go back and add said accomplishment TO the list just so I can check it off ;)
