It Was Time
No more fancy Sugar 'N Spice hair styles for us!

And just when I was going to show you a cute new one. This little girl in my nursery class at Church always has the most beautiful hair. Look at all of it! For some reason my girls did not inherit my thick hair.
It all started a few weeks ago when Persistence began complaining that she wanted to cut her hair off. No more snarls? No more of her running around with mangy looking hair? Sounds great to me!
You can only stand pony tails so long before you get sick to death of them and it seems that we didn't have the energy for anything else lately. She took the plunge and loves her new hair cut.

So now we come to our two year old little trouble maker. Haven't I mentioned lately all the trouble she's been getting into? Maybe I thought if I didn't talk about it the problem would go away but that doesn't really seem to be working. She's still here!
I know some of you are shocked because you have never heard me say a bad word about her before but I'm telling you, she has crossed over to the bad side. In the sweetest way possible of course. Look what she did to her hair last week?
Remember that great advice I gave you to cut the elastics out of your daughter's hair? I'm not saying it wasn't great advice because I'm going to keep doing it but you knew and I knew that this was bound to happen. Let's not lie to ourselves. When you take a pair of scissors to a two year old's head every day, eventually she is going to try it for herself. We're just lucky the damage wasn't worse than it was. She didn't cut the very front of it so it's not very noticeable. In fact I could have just left her hair like it was but she has been looking a little mangy lately too and I needed something easier these days.
"Uh oh. What did I get myself in to?"
"Much better!"
"Could I BE any spunkier?"
It looks very organized to me. And we can still do some fun things for Church if we want. That's one bonus of having fine hair. It looks great in short styles.
The funny thing is that Stranger has been bugging me to cut my hair off too and I think I would have if Margie had had time to fit me in. Yes people. I think it's time. The men in our family love their women in short hair. So how short should I go?
Although Margie had a good point. It's nice to be able to put your hair in a ponytail when you're throwing up.

Their haircuts look great!
GASP!!
Oh, how lovely! How adorable! How wonderful!!
So cute!
As far as your hair goes, it always grows back so I wouldn't be too nervous about it. When I cut my long hair off I cut enough that I could donate it to locks of love - why throw all that time growing it out away? So I cut 10 inches because that's the minimum required. I ended up with a cut similar to your older daughters but shorter like your youngest. It was fun & cute then hubby missed my long hair & I started growing it out again.
Well doesn't that just figure!? I JUST referred someone to your blog today for beautiful thin little girl hairstyles LOL
My DD had very baby fine hair. So we started brushing it more & trimming it more & it's getting thicker. DO NOT ask me why..I'm guessing it's like leg hair..cut it & it grows quicker & thicker LOL
My 3 year old cut her hair yesterday too. Must be something in the air. It was in the front on the side so they just tapered her hair towards her face so it didn't have to make much difference. Aren't kids so funny.
Oh my gosh, their hair is too cute! I really love Lovely's cut. It's just so...so...SPUNKY!
I'm at about the end of my rope with my hair, too. It's such a double-edged sword. It takes too much work when it's short, but when it's long all I do is pull it back in a ponytail. How exciting is that?
I just don't like my hair in general so I've never had a cut I like. Too thick, too coarse, too frizzy, some parts straight, some parts curly, some parts wavy. How do you deal with that??
I'm not going to tell you how cute they look. Because you already know.
I'm not chopping my hair short again for a loooong while yet. I love putting it up too much. Yep. I'm that lazy.
Neil refuses to comment on his hair preferences, because he knows I'll remember and hold it against him later. Ain't he brilliant?
Those haircuts are SO adorable! You did great mom. :D
Cute cuts!
As far as your hair goes, you could always put on a cute headband when you're paying homage to the porcelain god.
They are sooo cute. ANd I can't wait to see your new hairstyle too :)

Cute, cute, cute!!
omg what a nice hairstyle that kid from your church has! Your girls have gorgeous haircuts too!!!
Oh my. We had our first experience with this. The pea wasn't thinking and was holding the scissors up to her head while she was thinking of what to make and she snipped some off just back from her temple. It is finally starting to lay down.
When I started puking, my ponytails would hang in my face and the puking was so violent that I couldn't hold it back. I had my hair cut shoulder length and a few long layers. I needed something to make me feel pretty but something low maintenance.
