Look, Red!

Look, red! I found the little red chair that looks adorable in this room and I pulled the antique quilt out that has a splash of red. I moved the sleigh in as well. It has red runners and it's too big to fit anywhere else in the house. It is great for holding extra blankets and pillows but I'm sure it will become a baby doll bed. Persistence was furious when she saw it,"Why do you have to put all the ugly things in my room!" She has no patience for my creative process, such as it is.
I want to do something cute with this old ladder. Wait till you see what color it's going to be.

Funny you came across my blog Lara. I have been peeking in on you ever since you sent email for quilt guild and your website was with your signature line. I love your site and of course had to link to it. I'm sure we will cross paths soon!
I love your creative process - can you work some magic at my house?
Is it going to be red?
Cute room! Looks like you are making progress, esp in the planning process. My guess is red!
I love your home. Every time you offer us glimpses I am in awe of how beautiful, crisp and clean your decor is. So, when are you coming over to start on mine? LOL
Ok, I would LOVE to have a reading nook like that window seat! Put me a bench cushion on there & I'd be fighting w/DD10 over who gets to "hide" there & read first!
That is so darling! It's like something out of one of those fancy home and garden magazines!
i love your creativeness!!! my kind of gal!
I love that little sled! I also love red and use it wherever I can in my house. Your latest creative endeavor is awesome.
I always love what I see when you post pics of your house. I love your creativity and I hope that in the end it will look just the way you want it to.
So sorry for not keeping up with GeMoOrgNo, but my only excuse for that is that .. well, I'm GETTING MORE ORGANIZED! :) I have been working on organizing my house and maybe even making some progress! :) Stay tuned!
My kids think my "stuff" is ugly also. I bought an old door that I was going to hang above my bed--it won't work. So, I have to figure out where to put it!
Missed you at church!
lara it looks amazing ... any chance you wanna come and help with my non-sense of decorating. sheesh ... do piles of boxes count?
seriously tho, absolutely amazing as usual.
Oh, man, can you find some of those treasures for my house and come decorate? After bagging up everything and organizing it?
I saw a picture in a book one time where the decorator mounted the ladder sideways just like you did, then hung framed photos in the square places formed by the rungs. It was very cute. You could hang all kinds of neat things in those spaces.
I love how spare it is, though. Decorative, but spare. If you ever sell your house and move, let me know. I'll buy it and move right in...if you leave all your treasures up for me!
You are so good at this!! I need some of what you have to rub off on me.
It is lovely. If she didn't want it may I move in that room??
Hello, pass by here and I love your blog. I am a terrible in orgnize.
Wow! You're such a decorator! So pretty!
