My Thanksgiving Day Project

I did it! I made curtains for the girls' closet. I won't tell you how many mistakes I made and how long it took but they are hung anyway. They definitely make the room look more finished.

I added simple pleats across the top to give them some detail. There is something about white linen curtains that gets to me. In our old house I took down the blinds and made them for almost every window. Some had pleats across the bottom, some across the top, some rows of vertical pleats and in my daughter's room they even had pretty ties at the top. I loved those curtains! Unfortunately they all stayed with the house and I'm sure were taken down and thrown out. Oh well.

I may just have to try this in Gracie's room.
I love how they turned out!
Those look gorgeous! Maybe one of these days I will become domestic and sophisticated enough to sew my own curtains ... with pleats :) !!
I take it you are feeling better?
Looks great!
I also love the shelves at Jane's house. It is funny that that is exactly what project is next at my house. I even had some labels that are exactly like hers!
Those look great. In theory making curtains for my house would be a great idea but making that a reality is a whole other story. Glad you had time that you were feeling well enough to make those!
I love those curtains! I would like to have curtains on all of my windows, but there are so many, and it gets so hot here, we had to put blinds up right away. Okay, so we've lived here 5 years and I STILL only have blinds. I will have my curtains some day...
