Keep Up The Brainwashing

You know you're making an impression when you walk into the two year old's bedroom with her and she starts bawling because her bed isn't made.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I'd ever want to make the impression (brainwashing) on a 2 year old that an unmade bed calls for bawling! My first feeling on reading your comment simply made me sad and feel sorry for the child.

Oh my goodness, that's the silliest thing I've ever heard! A two year old will bawl if she spills water on her shirt one minute and then smear chocolate in her hair the next moment. Have you ever had a two year old?

It sound to me that you had a tired kid on your hands. But I say teach em young. I believe the Good Book say's everything needs order. Our teenage birthrate might not be 75%, our divorce rate might even be below 96% if this concept was taught from birth. I just hope she doesn't expect you to make her bed;)

Sounds like typical 2-year-old behavior to me.

Might as well teach them young to keep things organized and orderly. And that doesn't mean that they then can't know how to be a little child and have a good time playing and romping around crazy. I firmly believe you teach them the best of both worlds, that is what we are doing with our kids :) !!

Yes, my little princess of 2 years of age does the same thing. She will sometimes wake up and not want to leave her bed until it is made. I am not a stickler about beds being made at our house (at all!), I've just taught her to keep things neat and somehow it rubbed off on her to keep her bed made.

I thought mine was the only one who did this.

Wow. Can you promise me that if I read you every single day, that one of these days my kids will wake up wanting made beds? 'Cuz that sounds awsome!
