Kids Love to Organize
I suggested to my nine year old yesterday that we go through his many handed-down clothes. He has older cousins so he gets lots of great clothes but he couldn't possibly wear them all. Well, he does try to wear them all that's why he always has a mountain of dirty clothes in his room.
He was all for the idea of getting rid of some of them. While he was trying them on for me he said, "I really love how I'm making all these great changes in my life Mom."
Wow! Who knew that organizing clothes could be such a life changing experience for a nine year old boy!
P.S. What do you think of my little baby ticker in the sidebar? (If you click on it it will change from days to weeks etc.) Is it cute or creepy? I can't decide.

The ticker's kind of creepy with the baby just floating on your page like that but I like knowing how many weeks you are. I'd never remember on my own so this is good. I vote for keep it!
Babygaga has a different one if you're interested. (It's the one on my site) I thought the baby floating was sort of different, so I went with the "timeline" of growth instead. Plus you get an update each week of how baby is being made. Kind of neat I thought.

Isn't it amazing how willing they are to organize if we just get them started?
Just the other day I decided that we had way too much play food to fit in our little play kitchen and I was going to go through it and keep only what would fit. My 5 year old came in and asked me what I was doing and then she picked up each piece and decided if she wanted to play with it or if it should go to some other kid to play with. I think she got rid of more than I would have doing it by myself. Definitely a good project to work on together.
I like the ticker by the way,I think it's fun to "watch" the little one grow.
AWWWW your boy is so SWEET! And I vote to keep the floating baby! I think it's cute and pretty neat actually!
I think the floating baby is cute, that's about what it really looks liks so it's fitting. And I like that it gives you different options as far as couting down or up and days or weeks. Good job to your son, I'm sure it's much easier when they are ready & willing rather than fighting the process.
I like the ticker. My daughter had it on her blog when she was pregnant. It changes over time and gives you an idea of what the baby is actually doing. I vote for you to keep it.
I'm impressed with the floating baby too. Of all the ones I've seen, I like this better by far. Fun to watch them grow!
