P.S.
I finally went to see my midwife today and this baby is measuring at 7 pounds. 7 Pounds!!! There is no way it's going to get to ten pounds in the next month. What a disappointment!
My midwife says I am the very first woman to ever complain about not having a ten pound baby.
What can I say? We have high standards!

ROFL! Yes, I have never heard a woman complain about NOT having a ten pounder! LOL But hey, it may still reach your high standards, midwives have been known to guess the weight wrong ;)
As a woman who homebirthed a ten-pounder for her first child I say...why not aim for NINE pounds?? You could definitely make that in three more weeks, and like the previous commenter said...midwives have been known to be wrong!
LOL! Both of mine were judged to be about 8 lbs (by an MD) and were 9 and 9.5 pounds! Maybe you'll get lucky?
Why ten pounds?
Omygosh, I'm the same way! When my second was born at 8 pounds, I was like, "HUH?!" Everyone told me how huge that was, and I was like, "whatever! we're used to at least 9 lbs around here!

Mine have been 10.8, 9.5, and 10.5. The nine pounder was because I let my midwife induce me early. My husband was furious with me because she was so small!
My friend was the exact way. She cried and cried about her baby not being that heavy when she went into her appoitment. I think the midwife was wrong and her baby turned out in the 9 pound range.
