Thank You, Oh Wise Blog Readers
Slowly the house is getting back in order.
Sweetness had a doctor's appointment this week. She weighed 8.8 at birth and at three weeks she was 9.12 so she's gaining weight at a good rate. She was 100% in her height and 77% in her weight. Despite her wimpy birth weight I guess there is still hope for her to fit into our tall family. I don't know how most people feel about it but I can't wait to find out how tall my kids are going to be when they are grown. Being 6-1" myself I have to wonder if my daughters are going to be as tall as me or even taller. I just hope we can afford to keep everyone dressed when we get to that point. Buying tall clothes is expensive!I took the opportunity to weigh myself while we were at the doctor's office. I gained about 30 pounds with the pregnancy and I have 12 pounds of it left to lose. Apparently all those cookies and ice cream I ate the last month of my pregnancy didn't do me any favors. At this point I only have one pair of jeans and a couple pair of sweat pants that I can fit into. Now that I am feeling better (thanks to all of you) I am going to start walking. Today was supposed to be the day but it was too cold and windy outside to take the kids out and Heaven forbid I get to go by myself.
Really, thank you for your advice when I wasn't feeling well. I started taking iron like you all suggested and was feeling much better after just two days. Now that I think of it that was probably one of the reasons why the end of my pregnancy was so hard. I stopped working out three weeks before my due date because I didn't have the energy to keep up with it anymore. I was able to workout right to the end with my others so I couldn't figure out what my problem was this time. I should have gotten your advice back then!

I LOVE the picture of her in the sink getting a bath. She looks so peaceful! :) Both of my kids screamed like crazy in the bathtub at that age!
She is so cute!!!
The picture if you bathing your baby is so beautiful. What a darling baby.
wow...your children are all lookers! You and your husband must be a disgustingly attractive couple. (jolie/pitt comes to mind)
she's absolutely precious! i'm utterly jealous at your mere 12 pounds to lose... i've got 25. it's not coming off and i'm in tears over it several times/week.
What a bathing beauty you have there. You'll lose that 12 pounds in no time. I'm glad you're feeling better.
Are you a "classic overachiever" or something? ONly 12 pounds and you've had HOW MANY kids??
That baby is the sweetest bundle of joy outside my own 5. God bless you.
Oh my goodness--my younger child is almost 2.5 and I still have twenty pounds left to lose! You are doing fabulously well to have just twelve left.
Sweetness is a perfect nickname for your precious little one--she is adorably sweet.

I am glad the iron has been working for you. I have had low iron this pregnancy and I have been more than utterly exhausted?!? I can't wait to start feeling more normal again once this little one makes his arrival next month!
Sweetness looks so peaceful at her little personal spa. :-)
I'm glad you're feeling better. Only 12 more pounds to lose? That is awesome! You can do it!
Wow you baby is so sweet! Only 12 pounds huh you are amazing! And wow I would have never guessed you were 6'1" it will be interesting to see how tall your kids are especially your girls. You could have been a model;)
Sweetness is beautiful! That is a really cute pic!
I'm glad you are feeling better.
6'1"??? I'm only 5'2" so that made me feel shorter just reading it ;) I put on 52lbs with my first (too many birthdays during that pregnancy) I'm sure you'll lose the rest in no time. I love that picture! Was she sleeping or closing her eyes between fits? My kids never - and still usually don't - enjoy being bathed. Glad you are feeling better!
I guess I need to make something clear. That is 12 pounds of PREGNANCY weight I need to lose. I didn't say anything about the rest of the weight that needs to come off and there is plenty of it!
Sweetness was definitely enjoying her bath. She loves getting a bath and only screams when we take her out. The two seconds it takes to get her from the water and into a warm towel are two seconds too long I guess!
That is such a precious picture of your baby girl. She is absolutely beautiful!
Aww, I love sink baths.
I don't check for height, but I'm obsessed with my kids' ears. Cookie has mismatching earlobes and that bothered me for months. But Monster Man... his ears are so mismatched, they are low on his head, and one bends over at the top like a puppy dog ear. My family makes fun of me for worrying about this because as far as they can see the ears are just fine.
Glad you are feeling better.
